"Day 02 - Most underrated film" is
"Peter Pan"

I don't know in other countries but I think I was almost the only one who saw this here.
It unfortunately came out the same Easter weekend Mel Gibson's "The Passion" was opening. So almost no one cared about it, and it's a pity in my opinion, cause it is a flawless adaptation of the story and of Disney magic. Some scenes are perfectly "dreams come true", like the flight above London: it's like the cartoon took life.

On the other hand, a movie underrated by its own creator is "Rope": Alfred Hitchcock hated it. I've always loved this movie to pieces. Yes, I can see why he didn't want to consider it a good movie, cause it is indeed a sort of technical divertissment, but I've always loved the way it really looks like theatre on screen. We in Italy call this genre "sceneggiato" and it was very diffuse during the 60s on tv. It was also Hitchcock's first colour movie, did you know?
Have you had enough of me delivering lessons about history of cinema?
I'd have other movies that would fit in this category, but I need them to be on another "day" of this meme, so!
