Guess who's in town? Bernadette Peters. I lurve her. She's probably staying at the Hilton, just steps from my store. Maybe she'll be bored before her concert Saturday night and she'll come in. It could happen... after all, Chita Rivera did it!
I think she's one of the most beautiful women in the world. A petite, curvy, doe-eyed, pure-skinned, honey-haired, throaty-voiced little beauty... similar to Stevie Nicks in fact. Just look at her:
She must have made some kind of pact with the devil, because the woman is fricking 59 years old, and she has looked exactly the same for 30 years.
And she looks nothing like the obviously face-lifted Hollywood matrons who are her age or even younger. If she's had work done, it's very very subtle.
Cheapest ticket to her concert is $52.50, so I can't go. But maybe I'll get to see her.
