Bits and pieces:
~I cannot believe it's the end of January already.
~Am I the only person on earth who thinks Cameron Diaz is ugly?
~Every time some weird-looking white man with a hat and glasses and a coat collar pulled up high stares in my windows for a prolonged space of time, then doesn't come in but walks away slowly, still looking in, I think, Serial killer.
~I have taken to imitating Hillary Clinton at my husband to make him laugh, speaking in a loud, flat, harsh, peevish monotone and concluding everything I say with: and the American people won't stand for it.
~My brother's band is playing tomorrow night and I'm going to try to (deep breath) actually go out, and see them.
~I think "2007" is a pretty year. I mean the numbers look pretty. I don't know.
~I blushingly confess to liking (unlike many people) the
excessive, opulent paintings of Rossetti later in his career, rather than the early, more
ethereal ones.
~But I much prefer Susan Seddon Boulet's
early mystical paintings to the more popular
later shamanic ones.
~Sometime around Valentine's Day, I'm going to have my annual screening of the movie Picnic at Hanging Rock if anyone wants to come over and watch it.
~Politically, I keep getting startled by my far left-wing inclinations. I wonder at what point I'm officially a socialist?
~I think I might grow my hair out really long again. Right now it reaches my bra strap in the back.
~I keep having ideas for paintings I want to try to paint. I wish we had a bigger apartment, because I'd love to have an arts-and-crafts room for us both to create things.
~I really loved Run Lola Run.
~Still haven't made it to the gym.
