I am incredibly resistant to being at work today and the minutes are crawling by. So, you get to experience Wikipedia trivia!
Did you know that today, December 30, is the birthday of BOTH Davy Jones and Mike Nesmith, from The Monkees? Yes.
It's also the birthday of Rudyard Kipling, Bo Diddley, Russ Tamblyn, Patti Smith, Jeff Lynne, Tracey Ullman, Tiger Woods, and Eliza Dushku (Faith from Buffy). And, er, lots of other people.

Oh, in other news, I got not one but TWO biographies of Edith Wharton from Half Price Books, who had a 20% off sale going on through yesterday, thus my total was $11! One is hardcover with lots of photographs, almost a coffeetable-style book, and a fairly straightforward biography it seems -- and the other is a recently published psychologically-focused and somewhat controversial biography. I'm going to read the basic one first and the controversial one second.
