Just a quickie to say thanks to everyone who has sent energy and/or supportive thoughts and words. You are all appreciated. My dad is doing fine after his surgery and is already out of intensive care. I'm going to see him tomorrow.
Sorry for no comments, I'm not really reading LJ right now (had the Dayton Celtic Festival last weekend, and we have the Dublin Irish Festival this weekend, so busybusybusy). But I will catch up soon.
Speaking of which, yeah, the Dublin Irish Festival! It's this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. In Dublin, Ohio, near Columbus. The best-run festival of any kind I've ever been to. It attracts 80,000+ plus people, has great music (Gaelic Storm!), dancing, shopping, cultural exhibits, food, drink, etc. It's worth attending even if you have to drive from nearby cities like Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and Louisville, coughcoughcough! You can even grab a decent-yet-discounted room via Hotwire.com and make it a multi-day experience. More info on the festival here.
