So we are going off for the night, ie leaving the rock we call home. I am excited about just heading off for the night so that we can spend some time off island and get to go shopping and just do something fun like going to dinner. It sounds dumb but we are both super excited about it. Christmas was just a day this year, we both were just kinda ( Read more... )

Sounds like you really know how to screw the carriers. Honestly though, new phones will rarely improve your service. If the coverage on the island sucks, then it's probably because the towers aren't located appropriately for you to get decent service. So new phones are just a way to try and make you happy so that you don't switch even though your reception will still suck ass.

not so much how to screw them, Verizon it was the phones, they have some issues with the voice and echoing, so that one was for good reason and the new ones work so much better. With Sprint, they would not work with me since i have 5 lines of service, mainly I was lied to by the guy when we reuped the contract. I printed out and saved all his emails. so that I wanted them to admit they were in the wrong

Echoing as in your would hear the voice echoing? If so, then that would be a phone issue, you have to have echo cancellation! :) Otherwise, if the problem was echoing as in reflected signals, then this cell phone must have really been craptastic.

Five lines of service? Cell phones actually work with five lines? I'm not even sure why you would need that many lines on a cell phone. Mind sharing what you do for my curiosity? :)

with my work verizon phone, it was the phone on the tower structure on the island. with regards to the 5 lines, i have 5 different phones with sprint. my phone and gregs get horrible service, so i asked out of the contracts, now i am. so am happy there, two of the other lines are for my parents cell phones, and the 5th line is how we get Internet due to where we live, we can not get cable or dsl.

also with the voice echoing, it was the phone. now that i have my new verizon it is much better.

Oh, I see. I thought you were trying to describe a single cell phone that could have 5 incoming lines with different phone numbers routed to it. That makes more sense.
