Leaving Eugene for a weekend reminded me how important it is to get out once in a while. This weekend, I decreed not to bring homework, meaning no books, computers, syllabuses, worksheets, ANYTHING. I made sure to send the last thing due this week off on friday, 2 hours before we left, and then I was free for 3 days.
It was amazing to hang out with friends, old and new, and not have to worry about homework ONE time I was there. It was fun to just sit and play games and jump in jacuzzis all damn weekend.
Unfortunately, now its back to the real life with homework, school, and a group meeting in an hour.
But even though I am back, I feel that the days of freedom have lifted an immense load off my shoulder. I am going back to work carefree and with a lot less stress.
Thank goodness.
This jut entitles many many more trips out when I get my own car. Hallelujah to randomness, mini-vacations, and getting out!
