Back from Spring Break!
For spring break I went home and alanna, kim, rose, and jenna all came with me. We went to venice beach and saw a rather strong looking man in a leopard print thong, and a really skinny man who jumped on glass. After that we went to Santa Monica on 3rd street. Monday we took the metro to downtown LA and Hollywood. I swear we walked for miles. In Hollywood we walked along Hollywood Blvd from Wilshire Blvd to Highland Blvd and over a freeway. Hollywood was something else entirely. Outside of the Chinese Theater we were standing in a circle and a guy pretending to be Johnny Depp scared Kim and then charged her a dollar to take a picture with him. As we were leaving the guy who spray painted himself green and was being the Hulk came up and grabbed me around the legs and then kissed me. It was horrible and his green paint got all over me. Then someone playing Jason/Freddy/Insert scary guy with a knife started chasing Rose who grabbed my arm and told me to run which I did. Then everyone else started running behind us, and the man on the corner got it all on video tape. We got free tickets to the Jimmy Kimmel show, so we had a few hours to waste before that, so we went to Hooters for dinner and had horrible service (it seems we were missing something important to get good service at hooters). We also went to Sephora and did our makeup with all the samples. We all came out wearing some shade of hot pink eye shadow and ridiculous amounts of blush/bronzer. The Jimmy Kimmel show was fun, and then we took the metro back home again and it was only Monday night. Tuesday we went to Laguna Beach where we were overrun by high schoolers in Jamba Juice and saw tank tops on sale for $126. On sale. We drove up this ridiculous hill where everyone started screaming like it was a scary roller coaster, but we made it. Thankfully... we didn't have to go back down the hill. Thanks mapquest. Wednesday we went to Disneyland and never stood in line for more than 20 minutes. Rose ran up the down escalator on the way back to the parking lot. It was 5 stories tall... I don't think I could run up 5 stories of an up escalator, let alone one going the opposite direction as me. We might have gotten a tad lost in Anaheim trying to get back on the freeway, but the coffee kept me wired the whole way home. We started dancing in the car at the stoplight until the guy next to us had to look at us. Disneyland was fun... I liked when we were on the tram on the way back to the parking lot and the little girl in the same row as us was telling her mom that she had no autographs in her autograph book after all day at Disneyland. Her mom said that the guy (who was easily in his 20's) behind us was a princess and would sign her book. She looked at him and said he wasn't a princess and the guy looked at the little girl and said "But I am a princess!" and then realized what he said and corrected himself and said he was a prince instead. However, I really enjoyed it. Friday we went to the beach and sat in the sand for hours, which is how I have a sunburn on my back and the back of my legs. Only to come back to the snow. Sunburned and in the snow now. I had a good spring break, but I'm defintley glad to be back now. If only the weather were as nice here as it was at home...
