oh the horrors...
In my large amount of free time (really I have none) I have looked int o joining various organizations. So far, I have learned that no one wants me! At first, I really didn't understand why... I'm very nice, easy to get along with, and I don't take up much space. I suppose all the groups do have valid reasons though. The Amish don't want me, well because I'm not Amish. I'm also not interested in being Amish, I would just like to learn about the Amish by living there for a month. But even if I promise to do work, and earn my keep, the Amish don't want me. I've also learned that you have to be Catholic to join a convent. Not being Catholic, the nuns don't want me either. Again... I don't really want to be a nun, I just want to know what it would be like for a month. Sadly, they don't want me. Lastly, I can not join the Mafia. Somehow being female is an issue here. Also, I've heard that it won't work to just walk up to a random guy and say something like "Hey! My name is Kim. Are you in the Mafia? Can I join for a month?" It's just that I'm so curious as to how all these people live... soooo if anyone knows any Amish/Nuns/Mobsters that would like a summer intern, please let me know.
As far as everything else is going... things are pretty busy, and I'll be glad when Presidential Weekend is over! I've been having fun hanging out with people this semester so far... and I still love snow. I might have gotten over the joys of shovelling the sidewalk though. I had the best time sledding last weekend though. So much fun that we broke our sleds. I do understand though why sledding is meant for kids... my whole body is sooo sore just from going down a hill on a circle piece of plastic.
