I went to the grocery store with
drew2u today, because they had a few things on sale that I really wanted to get.
1. Golden Grahams for $1.49 a box (limit 3 boxes). Golden Grahams is my favorite cereal, so I was so excited for this! I got there to find that they were out of the size on sale. :( I ended up getting 3 boxes of Kix instead.
2. Arbor Mist wine - 3 bottles for $9.99. They only had one bottle of Blackberry Merlot left. This is the only wine I enjoy, and they don't do partial sales. Decided not to get it. I haven't even had a drink since September, so it's not like I need one right this second.
3. 7-Up 6 pack of 24 oz bottles - 5 packs for $10. They didn't have Cherry 7-Up (my favorite soda), so I opted to pass.
4. $1 off 1 gallon of Land O' Lakes milk. I got this to go with my Kix. I don't know if I'll be able to get through the whole gallon by myself before it goes bad, but maybe if I eat a lot of Kix.
Grand total: $7.16
Total savings: $6.10
I used the self-check machine, but it kept telling me that there was an unauthorized item in the bagging area and wouldn't let me continue. I think it ended up taking longer to do this than to wait for an open cashier. Oh well. I have cereal now.
