I am really loving two shows in particular right now: The Boondocks and The 4400.
I've been watching The Boondocks on DVD and really dig the candor and political criticism. And I think it helps that it's a cartoon.
As for The 4400, I got into it during the second season and bought the first season to catch up. The first season is simply amazing, and I recommend that anyone and everyone pick it up. Then the third season just dragged on and didn't give us a whole lot, but I saw that they were putting a bunch of things in place for the fourth season. I have to say that the fourth season has not disappointed at all. Though I don't think they'll ever top what they did in the first season, I definitely think this is the second best season.
Honorable mentions (and worth checking out this summer): Traveler (next week is already the finale!), Kyle XY, Greek, and Eureka. Reality TV, however, is a topic for another post.
