I was at work this morning and noticed something moving across the carpet. I figured it was a giant spider and readied myself to kill it. When I got close enough, I realized that it was a small frog. Somehow a small frog had gotten into my workplace. I figured no one would believe me, so I found a cup and began the task of trying to catch the little guy. This frog was quick, could jump feet at a time, and was sticky as glue. It ended up jumping onto the book shelf and climbing books. I positioned the cup to try to coax it into jumping in until it finally decided to do just that. However, it jumped out almost as soon as I brought the cup back to its normal position. It ended up on the door to my office, so I covered it against the door with the cup so that it would have nowhere else to go. Eventually, I got it into the cup and put a piece of paper over the top to keep it in. I then covered the cup with saran wrapped and punch a few breathing holes in. It spent the rest of the morning climbing the sides of the cup and peering out over the edge just as far as the saran wrap would allow.
My residents liked him. I thought he was super cute and would have kept him if I had some sort of habitat for him that he couldn't jump out of. My boss was also very taken with him, but our office manager was not a fan. At the end of my shift, I took him outside to release him. He climbed to the edge of the cup and kept peering back at me instead of jumping to freedom. I kept repositioning the cup so that the grass was in clear view. He then climbed onto the top of the cup and stared back at me for a minute before jumping onto my hand and crawling around. He then jumped to the grass and began the first day of the rest of his life.
