I was chatting with my best friend last night on the phone. We were both laughing and she said it is obvious that I am from the west-coast. So while I may be the only one of my species in the northeast region, I thought I'd post this one for laughs ( Read more... )

For starters, you didn't answer my question :(

Secondly, I don't get half of these. There is a north on the west coast, and a south on the east coast. So how can all these hot/cold summer/winter things make any sense whatsoever? Thirdly, forget the 60s and 70s, you practically were a hippy as it was! And fourthly, on the #1 thing, pointing out a common error in that all your friends are from the same culture.

Culture as in being Americans, yes. I do have friends that are Mexican out in California though. There are some aspects of themselves that are different, such as celebrating Kin Senatias(I know I spelled that wrong). Can't say that all of my friends are white. I some have Mexican American and black friends. Maybe we don't have the strong racism here that we have done South....but unfortunately it exists. I have heard others here place false stereotypes on Mexican-Americans. The sad thing is that the ones doing this have only been exposed to a very small percentage of them, yet have not lived in an area with a large percentage of them, therefore don't see the truth.

Let me point out a second common mistake in that Mexicans ARE Americans. But no, that was not what I was talking about. I don't care if they're from China, they're still from the same fucked up culture. What does color have to do with that?? Nothing! Just because someone celebrates some different myth, or theyre from a different country, or they're fucking blue, none of that means they're from a different culture.

I'm still alive....and so is my kid....and he's still cuter than his daddy! ;) By the way, he's 2 now. Buy him something. Haha.
