get a grip!
On Friday, June 23rd, I noticed that Melody could hold on to something for the first time. She has been able to grab hold of my finger for a while now, but until yesterday, she has always let go after a second or two. But yesterday, she held on to my finger for five-ten minutes.
Today, as she turns nine weeks old, we also saw a new thing, as she lay on her stomach. She can move. But not forwards or backwards. Nope, she moves counter-clockwise. Almost 45 degreses. Not much, but definitely a start. She WANTS to crawl!
I also think I know what her favourite toys are: music boxes. She particularly likes one that she has, that is a merry-go-rund, where there are figures moving along to the music. The figures are under a little plastic dome, of course, so that she can't touch them. But they are still very fascinating, apparently.
