I don't have much time and thus shouldn't be posting at all, but I'm offline from tomorrow morning until Sunday evening and at least wanted to let you know. And give you something more than just an automatically twitter summary of my day :-). I'll be attending a seminar from my postgraduate studies on the weekend. I still haven't read all the papers, I guess I'll read the last ones on the train. The seminar takes places in Münster and the only three people I know there are not in town on Sunday. I thought about meeting some of them for coffee or something, but... too bad

My mom is still in the hospital, still doing sort of ok, but not perfectly good. The doctors still haven't figured out what causes the cardiac arrythmia and how to fix it. And her kidney may have some problems too. We'll just have to wait and see what the series of test will show. At least she doesn't have to watch the mess her garden turned in to. It looks so so different with the huge pit and the huge mounds of earth next to the pit. But I guess she'd prefer to be home soon anyway and so do I, because the view of the construction sight is something to get used to very quickly.

Is it just me or did the temperature drop significantly over the last few days? When I walked home tonight I was shivering. Ok, maybe I should have put on my gloves :-)

I really really like Robert Hock, the captain of the Iserlohn Roosters. I won't get into it now, because it would take too long, but he is a great captain. And a really nice guy. With an awful new haircut though. But it looks like Paul Traynor got his hair trimmed a bit. Even Bro3 thought it looked a bit shorter, so I'm sure it is. I guess I'll have to see it for myself (and not just on the TV screen) soon myself.

7 months old babies can be a handful. I spend some time with a friend and her little son this afternoon and it's the first time I saw her since January and of course the first time I met her son at all. He is really cute, outgoing, good-humoured and very active. But I guess every healthy 7 months old kid tries to grab everything in an arms reach. I really had to watch out that he didn't wiggle out of my lap. It was fun though.

Everytime I use my keys to open any door I'm reminded that I wanted to show you my new keychain.

Note the special Canada Hockey key pendant, which has a maple leaf on its back, of course :-). I don't know how, but I managed to break this pendant over the past few months. It consists of several tiny parts and somehow started to fall apart. Quit literally. Thank God Bro3 has his magic way to fix all sort of things and he did fix this. It's almost better than before and I'm happy about that. It would have sucked to lose that souvenir too. I'm still grieving my scarf by the way.
