Except for my Grey’s reviews there was an astonishing silence in this blog and I can’t promise that will change anytime soon. Well, there is this post now, but... I’m so busy with my move to the new flat (which takes a bit longer than expected) and work and all. And when I’m not busy I’m too tired or my brain is still occupied with a lot of other stuff, so I can’t pull myself together to write a blog post. All I can write about are just the bits and pieces of my every-day-life anyway. But at least I’m going to do that now for once. Beware that these thoughts are in totally random order ;-)
I’ve been back from my vacation for two weeks now and it feels like I haven’t even been on one. It seems sooo long ago, because so many things kept me occupied in the direct aftermath. I didn’t even manage to sort through all my pictures. I actually had planned to write a final post about this vacation and include some photos, but I’m afraid this won’t happen.

I usually get along with males and females in equal measures. But sometimes I do think that the world would be a better place if it was run by women. I guess I had just too much of male-male competition, back-stabbing, starting rumours and such in the last two weeks. I know women can play just as dirty, but I think they don’t do it as much as often as men do.

I would love to catch up with my TV shows and the new shows I’d like to start watching. But I have no idea when that will happen. Occupied mind and all. But I’m so behind with quite a few shows. I guess I will do nothing else than watch DVDs during my christmas vacation.

I spend money on various things I just need for the new flat (lamps, blinds, shelves, kitchen cupboard, bathroom cabinet...). Much more money than I expected to. I love all the items I bought and thanks to Bro3’s loyalty card at the store I got 20% discount on some of the stuff, but my savings are shrinking rapidly. The new furniture for my bedroom will have to wait a few months I’m afraid.
I still haven’t moved into the flat, but are residing in my mom’s house for a few days. Since Tuesday to be exact and it probably will even last till next weekend. Bro1 and Bro2 helped to get all of my furniture and boxes to the new flat yesterday. It’s still quite chaotic there, even though the furniture in the bedroom and the livingroom are almost completely assembled and put in the right place. But the kitchen furniture is not yet and that’s still going to take some time. I didn’t use a moving company, but just my family’s help to move and assemble all my stuff, but that also meant that it’s not going to be as fast and efficient as it would be done by professionals. It also saves me a lot of money though, which is highly appreciated. My mom doesn’t mind giving me shelter for a few days, rather the opposite. She like me being here and I admit it has it’s perks. But after a few days I once more remember why I moved out in the first place all those years ago ;-)
Phone and internet were supposed to be set up at the new flat on Monday, but something went wrong and the flat is still offline. Another reason to move back home for a few days :-). In the new flat it’s supposed to start working on Monday afternoon. We’ll see...

Work sucks at the moment. I’m already dreading tomorrow morning. There is nothing more to say than that.

I’m a sap. I haven’t been one all my life, but I somehow turned into one. I probably have mentioned before that I suspect my mom’s serious life threating health problems a few years ago, to be the reason for me to be moved to tears so embarrasingly fast. I read a german icehockey magazine (special NHL season 10/11 edition) earlier this week and I almost started to cry a few times. Over insignificant details or comments. Like NHL Rookie goali Phillip Grubauer saying, that his NHL role model is Martin Brodeur, but that forever and always his real role model will be
Robert Müller.

I sort of accidently started competing in a Fantasy Hockey league at Yahoo! I found the link on a German Hockey blog and just wanted to check it out and before I knew it I had already signed up for a fantasy league ;-). After a few days and after I got accustomed to the settings and options of Yahoo Fantasy Hockey leagues, I ditched my team in the first league and got a new team in another league. Not because my team was bad, but because I didn’t like the scoring and point system of this first league. I’ve been the manager of the
“Lighthouse Keepers” for a week now and I’m not that bad. For someone without a lot of knowledge about NHL players I didn’t do bad at the Draft either, I guess. Maybe I should have paid a bit more attention to the players stats and rank, but I also do have to like my players. Carey Price was my first pick ;-). But I’ve picked Daniel Sedin, Christian Ehrhoff and John Tavares in the next three rounds and all four have done very well so far. Tavares scored a hattrick last night, which definitely helped me to move from #5 to #4 in my league.

There was some other stuff which prompted a “You should write about that” thought in the last two weeks, but I can’t remember what it were right now *sigh*
