Yay, it's my weekend!!

For those of you who work during the week and/or are taking summer classes and read the above title and are currently thinking, Oh shut up, because it's Tuesday for you, just think, when you're having your Friday through Sunday weekend, I'm working. So it all evens out. But I'm only working three more weekends. 14 days left. I'm glad but I'll also know I'll miss the place. The people I work with, the dogs I've gotten to know... the dog Lucy that's been there since June that I mentioned last time that I nicknamed gorgeous? She's leaving Thursday. So yesterday was the last day I got to see her for a while. And Twister's mom has moved up north - very north so I won't see her anymore either. It's sad really. But I'll be back at Christmas and I'll get to see some dogs I know, I'm sure.

So I'm pretty much all done shopping for school, which has been the highlight of my summer. I love spending money and I'm really excited about the room because of all the stuff we've bought. I'm planning on cooking a lot this school year because Heidi and I abhor the cafeteria. So I've invested in some college cookbooks. I just hope that I stick to the idea of cooking. It's an easier way to control what you eat and you can eat healthier. This weekend is tax-free weekend in New Mexico on school supplies. That's even including clothes. And I get paid on Saturday. So after work, I'm going shopping! I also need to buy notebooks and stuff anyway. I was going to wait until I got back to school, but with things being tax-free, I don't want to. I think the state is doing this because of a lot low-income families (Native Americans especially) and the taxes are ridicoulsly high here.

It was a nice morning today, with it hitting only 70 degrees at 8 a.m. So I went out and sunbathed for a while. I realized that I only have about three or four more weeks to do that. I've not been doing it very much this summer because it's been way too incredibly hot - hitting at least 100 here everyday. But we've gotten a nice cool front or something, so I'm taking advantage while I can. Well, that's it for now. Hope everyone's summer is beginning to wind down nicely.

21 more days til I'm 21! Who's coming to the party in Lexington?? It's on facebook if you want info!
