how are you? I added you to my friends list, hope that is ok. So I hear you are in women's studies at carleton... so am i. I took the fem activism course last year and loved it!!! hope yer well... xoxo ... maybe we'll see each other on campus to gossip about women's studies.

how did you know that I was in women's studies?! I'm just so curious! Yes I'm taking that course but I'm actually in social work. So what did you do your activist project on?

Hey Lily!!! Thanx for writing back!!! I heard you were in that class because my friend from my women's studies class is in that class and she is in your group and she was telling me about the project and mentioned a woman named lily who knows burlesque dancers and I figured it had to be you!!!! But then I double checked with Shari... anyway, last year my group made a zine about rape. Not quite as exciting as your group sounds!!! Hope you are well... what is this I hear about you maybe doing a number at the burlesque show??? Sounds exciting!

I am not doing a number at the burlesque show. I am plotting my entrance to burlesque and a persona! My topic within the sexuality topic is "reclaiming sex for survivors of rape and sexual abuse".. so we were thinking of making a ressource zine! Do you have any suggestions for articles to read (I'm in the middle of doing the research paper and can't find many!!) and do you have any leftover copies (or original copy) that I can look at?

Well I look foreward to meeting your burlesque persona!!! As far as resources... the only thing I can think of along those lines is the book "The Survivor's Guide to Sex" I own a copy which I can lend to you.... You can also check out the references within the book. Academic articles that are feminist and radical on topics that barely exist in academia are frustrating to find!!!

agreed! It is frustrating! I have a copy of the survivors guide too. Do you happen to still have a copy of your zine?
