Ah, but how well you manhandled his character. X3 As always, loved the rollercoaster of emotions you let your readers ride with Chiaki. I'm glad he was able to reconcile his misgivings and insecurities with what's really important to him.
And Nodame: you go, girl! XD It's good she didn't settle for that inadequate, albeit funny and endearing, attempt of her coward of a boyfriend to maneuver her into marriage. (He deserves the torture of a gushy, melodramatic proposal, doesn't he? XD) And that she didn't mollycoddle him or ran to him or comprised herself. . . It's amazing how Nodame can be so patient and poignantly profound about some things.
To cut this long-windedness, I'd just settle with saying that I finished reading this face with a goofy smile on my face and a contented smile. Very nice. Thank you for sharing.
(Oh, last. I loved how Chiaki's um, facing of his desires come off er very naturally. Did that make sense? Somehow, extrapolating on that aspect of their relationship still breaks my brain. ^^;; )
