On the other side of the Veil
It hurts to write for my story because of how badly I want to escape there from the real world around me. Fairbanks is the coldest it's been all year, the frost hasn't melted from the heat of the sun today. Winter is finally taking over my small city, and I'm not looking forward to it at all. It is surprising, however, how long we've gone with out it getting any colder so far. This time last year, there was probably 3 to 5 inches of snow on the ground. But this year, summer has survived a record amount. 2009 has been one of the most interesting years of my life so far.
