DH and I have taken a staycation this year. We are cleaning a lot of clutter out of the house...and trying not to bring in more. On Thursday we cleaned out the garage and have found that we have enough for a large donation pickup AND a yard sale. We haven't even cleaned out the cupboards and closets yet! Our plan is to have a yard sale Labor Day weekend and our neighbor will probably join us. If any of you locals are interested just email me at abrhab@yahoo.com and I will send you the address.
Today we visited one of our favorite furry nephews. His Mom is away on vacation and he loved the attention, wet food. treats (just two Mom), and getting the litter box cleaned out. We loved sitting in the hot tub, sauna, and swimming in the pool. Felt so good after all of that lifting, bending and stretching!
Tomorrow is school clothes shopping day. It's hard to believe that the summer has flown by so quickly! DD has selected some interesting classes. First semester she will have Tennis/Badminton, Integrated Algebra/Geometry, Astronomy, Psychology, Health, and Expository Writing. Second semester continues Integrated Algebra/Geometry and brings American Government, Dramatic Literature, Environmental Chemistry, Sociology and Aerobics. She is excited about the upcoming year and that's a good thing. Not just school but logging hours toward her license and getting her braces off early next year. She is a blessing in so many ways. DH and I are very lucky to be raising this wonderful young woman!
DH already received his 2010 birthday gift from me. The Senior PGA Tournament will be in Parker,CO in May 2010. He will be attending all six days. I bought the volunteer package and he will be part of the Medical assist team. Attendance, parking, uniform, commemorative paraphernalia, shuttle to the tournament and food vouchers for a greatly reduced rate. He is bursting with excitement already...and it is on his birthday!
Dad has been approved for Long Term Care Medicaid. Finally they determined that there really was a valid reason why I sold the house so cheap...and that I did not benefit from this. There were many exhibits and real estate analysis involved. Now to settle the estate. Perhaps, I will be able to start that Medical Coding class early next year. I could start now, but I know me and my mind would not be where it should be with the legal crap still unfinished.
Hope this finds all of you healthy, wealthy and happy:)
