Aimee has been saved but needs donations

Apr 10, 2009 00:33

The brave and loving lady that is carrying that skeletal body below is going to
rescue!! She will have a second chance at life and she is beyond excited to be
able to have this opportunity. Amie will finally get the chance to feel what a
real home is like. She will learn to understand that she deserves to be loved
and cherished.

She would have never made it out of the shelter alive if it wasn't for a group
of wonderful people who saw her picture, read her story and came to her aide
with soaring wings. I would first like to thank all of you who feverishly
networked for this angel. This just goes to show that networking and
crossposting DOES make a difference. Also, there is a woman, that I am so
fortunate to be able to know, who called me and let me know she was going to
help Amie. She had an amazing foster mom who would accept Amie with open arms.
She also let me know that it wouldn't have been possible without the, well
respected, rescue contact (Dor, you are a lifesaver!) she worked with in the
Bronx that was pulling Amie.

Just when I thought I would never hear better news than what I was just told, I
receive an email. The email was from a group of rescuers/networkers who got in
contact with an organization. The organization took one look at Amie and
instinctively reacted. Not only were they willing to provide a foster, but they
were sponsoring Amie and paying for her medical bills. There has never been a
more humbling experience then that. I will never ever be able to repay them for
what they are doing for Amie. They truly are heaven sent. The President of the
organization is an amazing person who selflessly reaches out and saves dogs,
just like Amie, every day.

I'm hoping we can all help her continue to save these animals lives and make a
donation. Every dollar helps. Please go to the following website and contribute
to Amie and other dogs in need:

You can also send your donation via mail at:

All checks are made payable to B.A.A.C.

Finally, I would like to thank Andrea Sacco who was the woman who found Amie.
She posted her picture and gave her a voice. Amie knew she picked you for a
reason!

Warm Regards and Never Enough Thank You's,
Lauren Campanella
