Thanks to everyone that came out to Retro for my birthday. It didn't go quite as I expected, but it was a lot of fun. Thank you thank you thank you for coming out, and sorry to those that weren't old enough to go. Just a few more years!
Found out that over the past 2 days they let the contractors go because there were too many people working here. My boss asked if she could have the option of laying off some of the people that were scheduled to be laid off (like me) instead of firing the contractors, but that request was vehemently denied. Assholes.
I underestimated the snow. I didn't belive that it would stick. I woke up to my mistake. Sacrificed my shower so that I could leave early. Not quite early enough. Punched in 12 minutes late. Better than what it could have been, though.
Please - hear me out here. Don't bitch about the goddamned snow or cold any more around me! You live in Michigan. Snow and cold should be NO surprise to you. Most of you have lived here your entire life. You should be well accustomed to the weather that November brings. If you have a problem with it, get the fuck out of this state. Or at least shut the fuck up about it while I'm near you. Layer your clothes, warm up your car, get a hat and scarf and gloves and STFU!
Harry Potter tonight. Karl is beside himself with glee. I'm really hankering for movie popcorn with lots of butter. I could really give a shit about movies or TV in general, but it will be fun to hang out with everyone and veg out for a few hours in front of a movie. *shrug*
