I just finished watching Donnie Darko and I think it may be a new favorite film. Like when I left 'the hours', I have the distinct feeling that I need to watch it a bunch more times to get it. Also like 'the hours' this is not a feel good piece of cinema. It's dark and disturbing and wonderful and sad. The acting is spot on, though I found the shrink a bit hard to believe in. Wow. I think I need to go find some Donnie Darko pictures to put up as my wallpaper.
