Thanks for the links! From glancing at them briefly, I'm not sure either is exactly what I'm looking for, but I'll have to explore more thoroughly later.
I think I'm more likely to move to blogspot or Wordpress than Dreamwidth, but yeah, options on DW would likely be similar to or the same as here.
No, I know; I just didn't read all the way through those FAQ posts last night, and I thought they were related but not quite what I want. If I can somehow get locked posts in my feed by using OpenID, that'd be great; I have to mess with it and see how it works, though. (It wouldn't have occurred to me that that would be possible--I guess I need to sign in using my google account specifically? Huh.)
Of course I want to see when you post stuff, that's the point. :p I was always kind of bad at checking back multiple places, so this streamlining thing is pretty awesome. And hey, you're on Dreamwidth? (I cynically wasn't sure they'd get non-fannish users. Neat!)
Gotcha. :) I support them too, though they're too similar to LJ for my purposes in this case (official site/public persona etc). Fandom's another thing entirely.
