Today was the neighborhood yard sale and I've picked up a plant from one of my neighboors a few blocks down. I got a potted yellow corydalis (that I've been dying to have) and I've planted it right away as soon as I got home in my front yard. The guy that sold it to me did say it looks a little dry, but he said as soon as I put it back into the ground and water it, it will be fine.
So I do that and this was around 1:30pm. I left my house and just got home now (4:30pm)and I went to check on the plant. Well it isn't there anymore. Or rather, all the stems and flowers have been cut off. I can only think of a few scenarios happening here.
(1) The wildlife around here ate my plant
(2) my neighbors on either side that are really good with gardening that helps me out noticed my plant looked partially dead and trimmed it for me, knowing it will sprout back up better.
(3)My parents came by during the time I was gone and decided to fix my garden (they do this every now and then).
(4)My jackass neighbor across the street decided to cut my plant because we've parked in front of their house a few times over the past few years (mind you, it is street parking, it's not like we're parking on their driveway)
(5)Some other douchebag cut my plant.
Needless to say, I'm sorta pissed off. I am really hoping it was because of my greenthumb neighbors or my parents or the wildlife eating it. I really hope my plant re-sprouts.
