Unf. I have made my decision. From now on I will only have 18 colors per hair in my game. I'll still make all the colors for the hair retextures that I upload though :) The colors I'll keep in my game are:
18 per hair??? You mean you had more than that prior? Yikes! I envy you for being able to keep as many as you can. I have everything down to black, brown, red, blonde, grey. I might even splurge and keep two kinds of red. But for many of the hairs I have, I've deleted all colors but black.
Hey, I figure most of the world's population has black hair irl. *sigh*. Some of the spectrum of brown and blonde were painful to delete, too. But I did it anyway. :/
There's a lot of space now. It used to take 15 minutes to start the game. Now it takes about 5-7 minutes. It's been easy so far. I'm hoping to delete another 500-1000 files. The final total of deleted files will probably be 5000 or more. I play cops/robbers style game-- with a few mild sci-fi elements. I have a lot of beautiful fantasy stuff that can go. Gorgeous-- (I dunno the terms) "scene" and "gothicy" stuff that was in style a few years ago-- gorgeously made, but I'm never gonna get around to using them. All my gorgeous streaked hair-- delete.
Now if I want to download something its for things I know will stay in style forever-- classic khakis, tailored slacks, blazers, pencil skirts, basic jeans, no-fuss hair. More J.Crew, less Forever21 lulz.
lol. I realized a lot of blondes, reds, even browns were sitting in my DL folder, never being used. I really do use black most often. Clean, basic, classic. Also, it matches with everything ;D
