Your writing always leaves me breathless. This is no different. I'm struggling trying to put my feelings into words, because I feel like this is what it would have to be like. It's going to hurt, so much, but the woods are just trees and the trees are just wood (as the song goes, heh) and all hope is not lost or gone or out of reach and...FEELINGS. This pairing does things to my heart too (obviously) and the imagery, the emotive quality of your words strung together...I'm gushing, I know I'm gushing, but it's because I can't find the right way to accomplish both brevity and convey the strength of my admiration for how this feels so perfectly played out.

YES. THIS. This is exactly what I feel and what my head is full of when I try to write them because this is what is must be like (dammit Bioware, DAMMIT). I have so many feelings for them both and their Strictly Professional love that I can't even.

I'm always so flattered when you review because you say such nice things and you get what I'm trying to say. Which is just A+ all around. :) Thank you!

Aaand that will now be in my head for the rest of the day. Thank you -- it's better than 'baby beluga' which was my earworm last week.

And lilith_morgana, it really is a beautiful bit of writing.

Thanks! :) I've been home nursing a fever and a sore throat this weeks so writing has kept me sane.

That was really lovely - beautifully written, captures their relationship and the unease that ME2/Horizon had the potential to set up between them. A really enjoyable read. (and this is coming from someone who left Kaidan behind on Virmire!)

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it (I have to admit that I played through the game twice without even talking to Kaidan, so I understand leaving him on Virmire very well). :)

Oh man. The demo gave me a case of the feels too. I keep whirling around situations in my head too, but this one is just perfect. You are a very brilliant writer and I'm glad to have found this (and will probably go poking through your other stuff as well). The way you describe them both is so tentative, emotions wrapped in such tight restraint, which is perfectly in character for the two of them. The ending was fabulous as well, more of a gentle uncoiling than anything, and it just felt nice.

Feelings. I have so many. AAAH Bioware, don't break my heart!

Thank you so much! I love the restraint in their romance, it always strikes me as perfect in the game how they talk around everything and I love that they get to have that kind of romance. At least for now. *gives Bioware a shifty look* Anyway, I'm glad you liked the fic.

And I will join you in the FEEEELINGS camp. :)

This is flawless.

You managed to highlight pretty much everything I love about these characters and their relationship and in a way that was just incredibly beautiful and moving. Thank you.
