Curled up on the couch, eyes closed and Tam's big ass great dane curled up across him, Gabe watched television. In other words, he snored softly while Libby chewed on his shoe.

Lil grins and debates not getting blackmail for all of ten seconds. Then she gets out her cellphone and takes a couple of pictures. Shortly after that they are texted to ever pard member on Lil's phone.

Then she wakes him up. "Gaaaaaaaabe, why's the mutt in the this house?"

Giving a start, Gabe is unaware of the pictures taken. Sitting bolt upright, he grins though he looks dazed. "Because Jason gets made when I make him sleep in the yard?"

Giggling, Lil sents her present on the side table then points at Libby. "No, the mutt, not the pup."

"I'm betting that Tam and Severus are being pyscho. She came to the back door, pawing and whining so I let her in to spend time with me." He yawned, stretching and knocking her down.

Gabe blinks, turning it over and over again in his hands. The main part is aquamarine and this, this here on the lid is moonstone and chy... something. I can never remember what it's called. This at the base is lavender jade and these over here? Are emerald cabachons. What? Carrie get taste?"

Lil rolls her eyes. "Take a sniff and you tell me who made it. What I want to know is where the giver got it all from."

"I don't wanna smell it. It stinks." He grins though as he says it. "Ask him?"

"Yeah, see, here's the thing. If the mob shows up wanting their shit back, I want to be able to say I have no idea where it came from."

Gabe looked at it again. "It's high quality, nothing flawed to the eye and all. Likely? He got it from a vault or something."

Lil climbs over the back of the sofa and curls up next to Gabe. "So, we have a jewelry thief on the lands? I feel like I should welcome him to the family or something."

He cracked up, pulling her close and cuddling her in, platonic but close. "Or we should turn him in and cover our asses."

Lil makes a face but settles for this much. "Yeah, but if we turn him in, we'll never find out if he's good in bed."

Gabe snorted, nostrils flairing. "He's a rat, Lil. Sewer dweller. Why would you want a piece of that?"
