3. Dead As a Doornail by Charlaine Harris
Even though this fifth novel in the Sookie Stackhouse series ends with a cliffhanger, I'm okay leaving off the series here when I have no more of the physical books in my position. Really, I'm okay with that. This one seemed to drag and drag. A lot happened, and yet. So very predictable, too. When you have two villains (although it is supposed to look like one, I guess, but I figured there were two early on) in town and introduce two new characters, chances are, those two new characters are the villains. It could be different, and if I were writing the book... but I wouldn't write this type of novel, I don't think.
