Well, getting closer to being done with the unpacking....3 bins & 1 box empty just today! Gotta finish putting clothes & such away, but that I'm probably doing tomorrow. Too tired. Still recovering from Saturday/Sunday, so...yeah.
WARNING: LONG-ASS RANT UP AHEAD. PROCEED WITH CAUTION.
Getting a little frustrated with Sparks stuff though....I sometimes feel like I'm the Guider-in-Charge, & we officially don't have those anymore...It's just frustrating when you're the one shelling out the money for stuff when you don't have a lot at the time. For STRICTLY SPARKS THINGS aside from a few badges I've been the one fronting money & I've been the one making sure that everything gets organized & yada yada. Plus I am the person that's getting all the craft stuff ready for camp in December. I don't have the money to do it, but I still am & now I have to front the money for meetings as well. On top of that I may a lone leader come April 'cuz my fellow Sparks leader may be dropping out completely. I understand being in school, I really do, but we all have our responsiblities outside of Sparks (work, school, both, whatever the case may be) & have we said 'I might be quitting 2/3 months before the end of the year,'? NO! We said we'd do this & we do it. It's one thing saying that you'll quit after the year is over. That's different. Part way through the year though? ESPECIALLY when there is a girl who is CRAZY shy & doesn't speak up much when new people are around...pisses me right off actually. Also the fact that I vouched for her & when I was asked if she'd stay in through the year I answered yes & now she does this...*sigh* I'm quite frustrated with all of this. I can't wait for camp to be over & it hasn't even started yet...Oh yeah, & she's decided she was going to book time off work for some dealy that she's going to go to with her boyfriend (tickets were gotten 2 weeks, maybe a month ago as far as I know. I could be mistaken on that, but yeah), instead of booking off the days for camp which we had the date in our minds BACK IN AUGUST! She doesn't want to book too many days off from work...understandable. I don't like doing that either. However when you say you're going to be a LEADER in something & know you'll be required at certain things (weekly meetings, 2 camps that last a weekend each, & 2 Saturday day camps), & that you'll have to buy supplies for meetings (you get reimbursed in the end, though it does suck that one has to front the moolah, true), you fucking do it! You don't hum & haw at shit that you know you'll have to do by a certain date. ESPECIALLY when working with children that young. You do your damndest to do everything you said you'd do by that date.
RANT OVER. THOSE THAT CHOOSE TO SKIP IT YOU CAN PICK UP FROM HERE. THOSE THAT READ IT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME. :P
ANYWAYS...now that I have sufficiently ranted to those that chose to read. On to happier things. Have a boyfriend now. The fact of that makes me very happy. If you'd like to know more talk to me in person, most of you know I don't really talk about that kinda stuff on here, so yeah.
If you guys have the time to once February comes around check out Festival du Voyageur. It runs from Feb. 15-24 & I'll be workin' there most days. The store will have a booth set up there! :D Don't know admission costs & such of it all, but when I know I'll let you all know. Lol.
My parting words to you all: Look both ways before you BAWK the street & don't forget! Animal was da bomb in The Muppets, yo!
