Hey guys!! It's been awhile~! Still no internet...so no pictures this time either. >_>; I'm gonna end up having one epic photo post lol.
Last week I went to the same school everyday, but English lessons don't start until mid-May at all the schools I'm going to, so I'm not teaching for awhile. But I spent all last week with one of the third grade classes. It's kind of unfair to the rest of the school, but it's not under my control -- I just do whatever the head teacher tells me to haha. But it's fun getting to know these kids and they're so sweet and funny. Also really loud. Haha. It's a lot of fun going to music class and art class with them. They were surprised when I started singing songs with them in music. And this sweet little girl let me use her paints in art class hehe. They all have a lot of questions and this one little boy is like my new best friend lol, he's always asking me questions and writing English words down. Hehe. Japanese elementary schools are so different than American schools and yet some things are the same. But how lunch is done is completely different, btw I eat the school lunch everyday with the kids. All the teachers eat the school lunch. It's kind of like a family-type thing. And then after lunch, the kids clean the school. It's fun watching them run around with their butts in the air, washing the floors with rags lololol
But yeah, I'm looking forward to when I get to start teaching. But it's also cool to sit in on a class 'cause I'm learning a lot of Japanese. XD OMG you should hear these third graders recite their multiplication tables!! They use the short forms of numbers and they say them so freaking fast. @___ @ it's amazing haha
This weekend was a lot of fun~! On Saturday afternoon, me, Popo, Daichi, and my new friend Sheena from training all went out to karaoke. We spent three hours in karaoke and then met up with some of Popo's friends and then we ended up going karaoke again rofl. So it was like a total of 5 hours of karaoke for us and lots and lots of drinking xDDD Tons of fun. :D
And then today it was actually a little warmer and Popo invited me to go with her and Daichi to the park near where we live. So we flew a kite and threw a frisbee around. That park is HUGE though!! There's this big ass slide that probably takes three minutes or so to get all the way down! So we all went down it lol. Our butts kinda hurt afterwards tho hahahaha. There's also a nice sized pond there with these freaking gigantic koi fish and these lazy turtles. xDD And the weather ended up clearing up and the sun came out and it was really pretty out today. There's a fountain in the park and since the sun came out, it made a nice rainbow in the fountain and all the kids were running around it shouting, "NIJI DA!! NIJI!!!!" xD So cute. Today was so relaxing and lifted my spirits a lot. It's been raining here a lot lately and one day this week was almost like a typhoon! The wind was really bad and my umbrella broke on me on the way to school one morning so I got all soaked. And it's been cold 'cause of the rainy weather. But today was so nice! :D I hope all this week is really nice too. No more rain until rainy season, please.
OMG OMG OMG -- so on May 4th, there's a hide Memorial Concert in Tokyo with Luna Sea, Dir en grey, X Japan, Mucc, D'espairsRay, the underneath, and Heidi. Popo entered a raffle to get tickets and WE GOT TICKETS!! :OOO Holy crap, you guys, I can hardly believe it!! So freaking excited!!!! I think I'll end up crying or something. The tickets are pretty ridiculously expensive, but jesus, look at those bands!!!!!!! I totally freak out when I think about it.
o O o
Anyways, it's getting late, so I should go take a shower and get my ass to sleep. Getting up at 5:30 in the morning is really difficult haha
