The coming year looks nice indeed. Not just with all the partying and kendo, but TV seems shiny nowadays. Four new series that seem moderately attractive (promising) are starting and I have absolute hype for at least one of them.
Yeah, the Flash Gordon reimagining will start in... August? I just saw the
TEASER. Surely they'll fit in a load of realism, but I dunno... It could work brilliantly - think of Galactica. And I do love Queen, I hope they keep that cheezy Flash theme song there. Trailer had it which surprised me and proably gave me false hope. Plus Eric Johnson. Dude, anything to see him again! I can see him do Flash with an attitude. Teaser made him look good too.
Sarah Connor Chronicles will probably be hideous. The
TRAILERS sorta convinced me and sorta not. Dekker seems creditable as John. Not sure about Lena Hedley. Glau wasn't very convincing as a Terminator, but I love her too much to abadon this before it has started. There is hope yet.
Reaper. Supernatural fans are trying their best to run around mocking this one. "It's an SPN ripoff, yada yada yaa!". Sigh, like there was ANYTHING original about Supernatural? Anyway, the
TRAILER looked good. It made me laugh. And Kevin Smith directed the pilot. I'm in.
Moonlight the latest vampire detective series in the vein of Angel and Forever Knight. It looks good. I'll enjoy seeing Sophia Myles in another role and someone else will probably watch for Jason Dohring (*rolls eyes*). Of course it's tough to say about this one, but of all the options, I thought this was the most interesting one. I hope they can give the vampire detective thing a new angle. I miss Angel. I hope this is goooood. Check out the
TRAILER.
Let's see who survives and who doesn't, shall we?
