Firstly touching god. It is Sarah (played by the beautiful Mia Kirshner) from Crow II: City of Angels. See I'm a bit funny because I totally heart this movie despite it being rather terrible. There's something about it; the idea, the mood, the crappy color filters in every scene, the music or the characters that have made it into a very special movie for me. So I made icons, made a mood theme, am still seeking for the Chet Williamson book which is supposed to be many times better. The text in the icon is an allusion to those moments you've just woke up, you look like hell and then you climb into a shower and suddenly everything feels like it's in place (love that scene in the movie, they're playing Bush's "In a Lonely Place").
the reason is next. It's an icon from the Hoobastank music video "The reason" and the lyrics are present in it. It's from an old 100 bodyparts icon challenge and doesn't look like total crap so I keep it around. It's also very light when compared to most of my icons. Plus I use it with my friends. "I've a reason to for me. To change who I used be. A reason to start over new. And the reason is you."
exodus pt 2 was pretty much made like... last week is it? It is the proof of my blooming Kara/Leoben (Battlestar Galactica 2003) obsession. I was made to watch two season of the show within one week and gradually it won me over and then I got into the third season and an episode "Exodus part 2" and I was sold. I love that scene. Kara is so frakking terrified of him and he's having this rapture moment where all of his dreams come true.

apulanta is a Finnish rock(/punk) band that is pretty much one of the most popular and successful rock bands in the country. They sing in finnish and have complicated, poetic and meaningful lyrics that always manage to touch me in some manner. I own all their CDs, I've been a fan for ages - 7 years maybe? The name of the band literally translates to help manure, or fertilizer, which they came up with as teens while their music was still more punk.
him (his infernal majesty). You have a thing for asking me about Finnish bands? Him is a gothic rock/hard rock band with sappy lyrics about love and symbols with a gothic touch. I've been with them ever since their first album and do still listen to them, mainly the earlier music though. I think they kinda sold out. Then again, what other Finnsh band has sold gold in the US? Him is pretty popular in Europe, probably has a fanbase around the world. They (obviously) sing in english so that helps.
riddick/jack. Sure, Chronicles of Riddick was pretty, there were battles and evil quotes and chemistry between Riddick and Kyra... Kyra just wasn't Jack. Rhiana Griffits isn't a volumptous tomboy like Alexa Davalos (didn't like her in Angel either). I guess you could say I'm a deticated fan of Pitch Black and there was very little of it in the "sequel". As a matter of fact I'm one of those people who rather read "identity theft" fiction that goes around explaining why Kyra isn't Jack. I know it's sad. Just loved the relationship between Riddick and Jack in the first and in the second it was gone. Hence Riddick/JACK and not not Riddick/Kyra. The fact that they changed her name as well just proves no one else thought she was Jack either...
