Change (in the house of flies)

Time for a little change. I found beautiful dark icons, as well as the most amazing icons made from Victoria Frances' art. Her lust, gothic art has grown on me because of its beautiful victorian vampires with smeared make-up. No wonder I persuaded my sister to buy me her calendar. Now that is one calendar I'm never throwing away ;)

I've been writing Sins like a girl obsessed. I have around 2,5 chapters done, yet haven't posted any. They're so tightly connected in the themes and timeslot that I decided I'd post them at once so I didn't need to start correcting possible mistakes in thought afterwards. This story used to be the vent for winter depression and now it's looking like my version of Dracula, which is okay since the newer chapters have been less about the two main characters and more about everyone else imaginable. I guess you could say I was previously pretty scared of using KW characters (we had such lovely fights back then) which is also why Sins was never placed under KW spin-offs but instead HR. I seriously need to rewrite the earlier chapters and remove some silly ideas I had when this thing was still about bad humour.

Tomorrow is my last day at work. Then I have a month off and after that my gardening/cleaning summerjob begins. That means more time for writing in the middle of the night! I still have that trip to England between as well - haven't really been giving that much thought.

I'm curious about the Claymore anime that stars in Japan tomorrow. Definitely checking it out. If Clancy Brown was hot with a giant claymore sword, who says demon fighting half-demon chicks aren't?

EH bought me an Amano artbook, so praise her for that!!! I love my sister. I still need to collect it from her though. I suppose that'll happen after I visit Syr.

Yeah, indeed, I'm planning on seeing Syrai this week. Driving over there on Thursday (unless that cold turns out to be a snowstorm destined to keep us apart) and staying for the week. That's us together, watching stuff, annoying the living hell out of one another and her staying up all night while I snore and try and feel up the oven (no Kristo, no).

The Fountain was the movie of the decade. Touching, beautiful, brilliantly acted and written. This missing out the Oscars proves my point of the Oscars representing practically nothing anymore. I'm definitely buying Fountain though. You rarely find a movie that tempts all your senses. Visual eye candy like this hasn't been seen since The Cell. A story like this - don't think I've ever seen anything like it. And it would seem like Hugh Jackman can act beyond Wolvie. Way to go, Hugh. Rachel already has an Oscar so I needn't praise her anymore than that.

Oh and I want the second season of LOST. I need it. Watching Fast&Furious makes me curse Diesel's dying career, Resident Evil makes me remember the horrors of its sequel and I'm never watching BloodRayne so I'm practically out of Michelle. Also maybe the season looks better now with all the horrors already seen.
