(no subject)
Well as of tomorrow I will be home in 6 months :) and as of Friday I will have been here 6 months YAY. It seems like I have been here a lot longer then that. Lately I haven't done much travelling since Paris. I did however go to Locarno two weekends in a row to visit my host family from when I was an exchange student in 2005. It was really good to see them, it felt like I was back home. I haven't felt that at home since I got here in October, aside from going home at Christmas. The kids have been on a two week Easter break. These kids get so many vacations from school it's insane. This past weekend, Stephanie, Lisa and I went to the Tulip Festival on the weekend. It was kinda sad, not many tulips blooming but the way they advertised it, it sounded like there were tulips EVERYWHERE. I have boughten a book for London, and for Dublin :) I am going to get one for Amsterdam, Glasgow maybe Paris and Nice if I can find a good one, and maybe one for Finland. I have found out that we're going to Finland for around 2.5 weeks. I'm really excited because Finland isn't a place I would go on vacation. I would go else where, so to have the opportunity to go there for 2.5 weeks, I'm going to take full advantage of it opportunity. In May I'm going to Nice, France May 12-14, and back to Paris May 14-16. This trip will be my first solo trip, I figure I might as well go on one before my huge 2.5 week trip in September. Speaking of, I have figured out times and dates for that trip. September 8-11 I will be in Glasgow, September 11-15 I will be in London, September 15-18 I will be in Amsterdam, (2 different countries on my birthday :) ), September 18-21 in Dublin Ireland, September 21-23 in Edinburgh and September 23-26 back to Glasgow. I'm super stoked. I have already started looking at hostels, and started making some plans. Just have to figure out what vacation time I have left. Then good to go :)
