so, it's definitely been a while since I've really updated my lj. What to say . . . school is pointless. We're almost done though! Yay for being a senior!
My orchestra concert is this Wednesday. Please come! It's my last concert and I have a huuuuge senior solo. I'm so nervous! But I'm trying to stay confident (with much aid from a certain someone ;) ) Wish me luck at least! Even if you don't come to the concert. It's Dillard's last concert with HHS too! So if you don't come for me, come for him 'cause he's the most awesome director ever! The concert starts at 7:00 in case you want to know!
Speaking of music . . . I have to brag about this . . . I was just hanging out with this great guy this evening and i let him play on my violin (my baby!!) . . . he hasn't picked up a violin in 7 years mind you . . . and I discover that not only does he have almost perfect pitch but he picks up the music so quickly. I was in a state of awe and shock! And in addition to that, when he picked up the bow and played, he held the violin correctly, didn't make a crunching or squeaking noise, he kept his bow wrist loose, and the bow was almost perfectly between the bridge and the fingerboard . . . now I know some of this terminology might go over y'alls heads but my point is he was friggin good! Especially for someone who hasn't played in 7 years! Talk about my jaw hittin the floor! He was actually better than a lot of the people in Concert Orchestra . . . sad as that may be for the poor concert orch people. So I told him about what he had just accomplished and it was so great to see the way he reacted. He blushed (aw how cute!) and was so dumbstruck by it. Good job though!
Anyhow, adieu, good night, more updates later . . .especially after we get out of school!!! 3ish days left!!! yeah seniors! peace out!
