I got to the point with my mom to where she said I could get my nose peirced if I got my dad to say that it was okay. She is angry at me but I pulled the "It's my own body, I'm old enough to make my own desicion" card and it seemed to have worked.
She is just worried about infection, finding a sterile place, and how to keep it clean if I do get it.
I think with my dad it will be a flat out NO at first, but I'm pretty good at talking my dad into things.
And like I told my mom- I am not asking for them to like it or even support it. I am just trying to be decent enough to get their permission and only asking for them to let me have my independence.
