Today was the 4th day without classes. Apparently, the students VOTED yesterday to continue the "strike" and "blocking" the entrace to the school. Here are my problems with those "two" things:
• You can't call it a strike when the students are ALLOWED to enter the school.
• You REALLY can't call it a strike when the students are allowed to use les toilettes.
• You REALLY REALLY can't call it a strike when the students are allowed to ask the teachers for chocolat chaud et café ou thé from the teacher's lounge machine de boisson.
• Additionally, the teachers are buying les boissons pour les élèves (I thought they were the enemy. They are the ones that AREN'T going to class).
• Et finalement, WHAT kind of strike is when the blocading students have A HOOKAH and DANCE MUSIC. I would say it was a party if it weren't about 30 degrees outside.
Anyway, hopefully, life will return to normal (whatever THAT is) when we come back from Toussaints, but who the heck knows?
