bittersweet

Gazing through formaldehyde eyes
as conviction coated lips preach to the masses,
Is it blasphemous to use you as my muse?

Worship from head to hip bone
nothing below the waist.
You deserve the world,
yet I can only give you a small sovereign state.

I littered pieces of me between rosary beads
in hopes that you’d pick through my remains and decipher the meaning.

I am a vessel for the forgotten,
Damned by flesh not by faith.
Why pay for the sins of my Father if he does not claim me-
Bastard son.

Have You so little faith?
You must have forgotten Your teachings my love,
so take my hand and let me breathe
the holy word into Your skin
And rejuvenate Your tainted mind
with a love oh so coveted

I've fallen to my knees
praying that I can sanction this sacrilege
A false prophet of forged fables, and faux sermons,
All things to add to the color-coded catalog of my transgressions,
Would you read this faulty scripture?
Would you worship me too?
