Paul and Shannon recently got me hooked on an online "nation simulation game" called NationStates.* All is well and good with this - it's enough to keep me entertained for about five minutes a day - but over the last few days I've noticed a developing trend. Each decision has the potential to change your countries direction, and every day or so your country is labeled according to its most prevalent policies. Paul and Shannon, for example, are both "Inoffensive Centrist Democracies" another friend, Aaron, is leading a "Left-wing Utopia." Intent on being "true" to lefty-liberal heritage myself, I've suddenly become a "Civil Rights Lovefest." I am pleased.
