I figure if I decide to go anywhere with this, the Law and The Multiverse blog's posts about the Marvel Civil War and how disappointingly it was handled from a legal perspective will be handy for creating a new background. There's presumably a courtroom story out there if the girl's ever decide to come home for good.
I figured Tonya could use some sort of closure. As she said, she may have set up her abductor's fall, but when it happened her main act was running away. Which was a smart move (A: PsyMinder could have forced her to fight if she had been close enough, and B: as covered in the first piece with her, the guy in charge of the mission was in a "kill them all and let god sort them out" mood by the end), but not exactly one that leaves you feeling stronger.
