MICHAEL PHELPS FAN!
This weekend was fun :]
Saturday morning Sarah and Mark came in from Vicksburg! It was so good to see them again. We ate some lunch (Mark eats like a horse. I've never seen anyone pack away so much mac 'n cheese EVER), then eventually we made our way over to Kensington to go kayaking! Unfortunately, a storm was brewing over the lake so we had to call it quits early. We should've just waited for it to pass. It didn't even rain, the storm just passed right over. We ended up swimming at Jess's for awhile and hanging out. Grilled some excellent hamburgers for dinner, played around on youtube (Salad Fingers is SO creepy) and then walked up to Hand-Di-Dip! We went to my house to sleep because jess had to leave early this morning to go to a Tiger's game.
We ate a superb breakfast this morning, hung out, fooled around on my lap top, showered, and then went to see The Mummy 3 at 2:15. It was definitly a let down. I liked the first two so much better. Haha well. It was Mark's movie pick. We'll blame him for that one, lol. We got back around 4:15 and my mom got pizza for us at 5. Ate that, Jess came over the game, and we hung out and read some Tucker Max. And did I mention that Mark finally gave Jess and I the bracelets he promised to make! They're sweet! I can't believe he can make those. I just realized that Jess forgot to give him back the car, lol.
Mark's mom came to pick the two of them up around 630, so I've basically been reading Breaking Dawn and watching the Olympics since they left. And I have to say, people have been complaining about how Breaking Dawn isn't that great, but I LOVE it so far. And I'm like 550 pages in. I've also been diggin' the Olympics. I was watching the swimming hardcore earlier. I was SO excited that the USA won the 400m relay. The French were devastated and it was just so hilarious because they were all expecting to win and we pulled ahead at the last second! Can I just say I'm definately a Michael Phelps fan! He went crazy when they won. It was great.
Hmmm. So my exciting weekend is over now. The Mole is on tomorrow so that should be good. Season finale! Didn't think I'd get so into this show. It's absolutely addicting. Then Tuesday it's back to work. :/ Poop. Well. I do need the money. I'm buying my books this week. I can't figure out how to use half.com.
On Wednesday the sororities at Dearborn are doing this starbucks thing and I was considering going. I'm on call so I guess that all depends on if I get called in. I was hoping Colette could come but seeing as she works doubles 6 days this week she most likely can't. So I might go by myself. Even if I don't join a sorority, it's still a good way to start meeting people which is what I really want to do. When my mom found out that I was looking in sororities she didn't seem too happy. But that's not really something for her to decide IF i chose to do that. Sororities at Dearborn are a bit different than the typical University campus sorority because they don't live in a house, so it's basically just a way to meet people and get involved with the school. At least that's the gist I get from it so far.
