words of wisdom
I don't want to forget these words of wisdom from my (awesome) boss.
"Apartheid taught me that i have resiliency that i would never have known about. I do not wait to ask for what I want. I go and get it. Face what you fear and do it anyway."
This woman grew up in some of the most deadly and scary times in South Africa as a black woman. She truly is amazing. Calm, nice, firm, and direct. I'm lucky to work for her.
She is NOT an entitlement case like so many others.
Today, I'm grateful for a brave and supportive mentor. I am right where I need to be.
