This weekend, in lieu of our shopping/eating tour of Germantown, we went out and about touring the fields of Gettysburg, PA., with LisaChicken. What a marvelous place. So pretty. So much to learn. I really sucked at history when I was in high school, ergo, much of this was new to me. The town is also adorable and very walkable.
We had wonderful weather as we did half car tour/half walking tour of the fields, monuments, and city.
The most striking things: these fences, the monuments EVERYwhere, and cemetery hill.
This weekend, I'm going to the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival on Saturday and a friend's baby-naming ceremony on Sunday. Should be fun :)
