They say that writing about your everyday stresses, relieves tension and improves health. Thus, I feel the need to rant to no one in particular.
Drrrr! My husband is often messier than my kids, though he still has fits when they don't clean up after themselves. He also only does .005% of the housework. Even my kids do about 5% each.
We have this tradition of waiting until after Dec. 6th (My son's birthday), to decorate for Christmas. This year, my in-laws are driving up for the holiday. Don't get me wrong, this is something I'm happy about. It saves us 35+ hours of driving. It's also nice to play host for a little while and I'm excited to see everyone.
My husband is also excited. He's been going on spending spree after spending spree and by the time people get here, I'm afraid we'll be broke. :( He's also taken it upon himself to lift the decoration rule. He started putting up ornaments and stockings and piled like 4 huge plastic tubs of Christmas junk into the dining room. No, they're not neatly stacked red boxes, they're sitting half open with crap hanging out of them, laying on the top of the couch and strewn across the floor. WTF? It's like he randomly decides I don't have enough to do (seriously, between kids, housework, homework and PAID artwork, I go at it at 8-14 hours a day. HE doesn't work that much...not even close...) , then either calls repeatedly because he's bored (they don't actually give him much to do at work, so he goes shopping or plays WOW), or calls and asks me to do extra crap....or makes fucking messes for NO reason and doesn't bother picking them up. Seriously...pisses...me...off...
At least he's been working on fixing our shower again. Last weekend he did some yardwork. ...it's so rare that he does ANYTHING helpful at home.... (Not that he really works at work most of the time...)
