Health Insurance woes

So my health insurance has already started messing up already.. and I haven't even begun anything yet! I changed my primary care physician the DAY after I had a positive pregnancy test. As I wanted to go to my original doc that I was seeing for most of the time I've been in tally. Well they said they would change it, and that it would be official June 1st. So I went to my appointment on the 3rd and I get there and the receptionist is like.. we cannot accept this card.
Then we went through the whole thing about how they need to send me a new card and how they haven't sent it yet. Then we get the whole "well we can't give you the referral you require until we get that updated card." You know.. the one I need to go to my ob/gyn so I can start all my blood tests, ultrasounds etc etc. Which I am hitting on my 8th week soon and I would think should be done by now. So they still see me, and I talk with my doctor about everything, and take a test to confirm the pregnancy. She says everything is fine and that my light bleeding is very normal as long as I have no pain and clots.
I can live with that. So we've been waiting on this new card. I check the website and they still have not updated my PCP. And I 'm thinking.. it's been almost 2 weeks since we called and nothing? So Chris calls them.. to find out the person that said they would change my PCP, NEVER FUCKING DID! So now this person has to hear this entire story all over again. This person says the reason it didn't upgrade was because they are changing their procedures or something on how it's done. Blaw blaw blaw. Thank god this person said they are going to update it, and that it will still work since June 1st. Because If it doesn't go through, chris and I will have to pay out of pocket for the appointment I just had because my Insurance will not cover it.
So now I have to wait for the new card with is going to take 7 to 10 business days. *facepalm* The good news is, chris ALSO called the doc office and told them that I have been updated and moved over to Dr. Davis, and that they can get my referral started. But of course, that same receptionist wants to give us the run around because I don't have the card. What is the hold up with the card when is told to CALL my insureance and they will TELL her I am covered and that she will get her fucking card when I get it in the mail! (or sooner if they update it on the website sooner!) I can't wait another week an a half to wait for my card, to THEN start a referral that might take ANOTHER week. God damn. She knows I'm pregnant and that I need to get this taken care of. I don't wanna wait til my 1st trimester is over before I get these much needed tests. FFS!
I am overweight, I want to make sure all my levels are okay, I want to have ultrasound to make sure Everything is growing properly, I want to have an estimated time of how Precisely along I am. Because going by the first day of my last period doesn't mean shit to me. For the love of god can I just get this stupid referral already!
