Getting licensed to kill (pests) requires testing.
Everyone must take two tests to be licensed: General and Laws & Safety.
If you work for the company I work for, you must also get two more tests within your first 2 years: Structural and Fumigation.
The bulk of the latter two tests hinges on math skills, which is a little concerning, considering those are the two most chemical- and equipment-heavy areas we deal with.
Let's just say, I know very little of the technical aspects of this job, but I'm now qualified to dump deadly chemicals all over the hizzle (and be paid for it!) on account of knowing MATH.
