I rock.
1. I have a two- or three-month-long assignment from the temp agency, working for city government as an executive assistant, making more than I ought, considering my experience. This means rent, and proper work clothing, and repaying my loans, and treating all the generous folks I've met since moving here.
2. I had a lovely last-minute lunch with the person who referred me to the temp agency.
2a. Sourdough bread, and poppyseed challah, and a teensy wiggly puppy!
3. I paid my Muni ticket like a good citizen, a whole day before the assessment date, thus avoiding a $300 fine.
3a. The guy minding the metal detector flirted with me over my challah. Apparently, I ought to "join the tribe".
4. I auditioned for an octet annex to my usual chorus, and don't feel awful about it.
5. I have lots and lots of plans this weekend, with happy snuvvy people. And we'll have fun and get things done, too.
6. Yesterday was my firstdateversary with mensia, and we managed a few hours of alone-together time, which were exhilarating.
7. I have a whole bunch of really cool, smart, talented, generous, caring, patient, and supportive people in my life. This makes me super happy. Thanks!!
