Not much more than "heard of," I'm afraid. I saw a production of Tom Foolery in high school when it was done by one of my former directors. Also, my chorus is including "The Masochism Tango" in our anti-Valentine's cabaret.
Tom was a grad student at Harvard in the early 50's. He self produced and released a comedy/satire CD that became possibly the most successful ever of that genre. He performed for a number of years, then went back to teaching. Ended up tenured at UC Santa Cruz, teaching music and theatre. I could send you a copy of his CD if you're interested.

Thanks, no. I'm sure I could get it from a buddy or four if I wanted. They're all theatre dorks. :) I knew teh basic bio, actually; I just meant I didn't know his work well enough to sing.
